Berkeley Play Therapy provides psychotherapy services to children & adolescents ages 3-18 experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral issues.

About Berkeley Play Therapy

Realizing the need for home-based psychotherapy services for children, adolescents, and their families, Kristen opened Berkeley Play Therapy.

Families often want to seek therapy for their child, but the difficulty in doing so can be due to time constraints or a child that is uncomfortable/resistant to therapy. Under the care of Berkeley Play Therapy, sessions are conducted in the child’s home, which can be less stressful and time-consuming than office based visits.

Kristen utilizes play therapy with clients as well as incorporating yoga, mindfulness, and expressive art. Kristen is a warm, joyful, and compassionate therapist who works hard to create therapeutic relationships in which children and their families feel safe and respected.

Kristen specializes in children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, behavioral concerns, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, sensory processing challenges, Cerebral Palsy, other neurodevelopmental disabilities, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma, abuse and neglect, adoption, attachment, and coping skills.
